The gorilla is a species of herbivorous, feeding on leaves, fruits, stems, buds, bark, flowers and sometimes roots. This species must ingest large quantities of vegetables to keep his size, an adult consumes about 35 kg of food per day. REPRODUCTION
Gorillas reproduce every six or seven years, and may mate all year. The female has a 28-day menstrual cycle, being fertile three days of this cycle. When the female becomes pregnant, ovulation ceases for three years.
