Why Eat smart
Eating important nutrients everyday helps you build a strong calorie burning system! To do that you must provide your body first with the quick sources of energy, which are carbohydrates. Foods that contain carbohydrates are starchy foods such as bread. Carbs are essential because they break down into glucose and are then stored in our bodies as glycogen. Apart from the bulky terms, our body when it comes to burning the first thing that gets burned is glycogen. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber, which is essential to our bodies because it’s a source of fructose and thus, provides energy. Another thing you must add to your diet is protein. Protein can come from animal sources or vegan sources. Protein is meat, eggs, dairy products, nuts and legumes. Why is protein important? Because it helps our bodies rebuild our muscles. Finally to wrap up your diet the most essential thing is to drink water. However remember not to drink too much water as it is not good for our bodies as it can mess up our electrolyte balance and dilute our blood. So adopt a balanced diet full of carbohydrates, proteins and fiber and you are well on your way to a healthy lifestyle.
