JAPANESE FOOD Tuna with Japanese Salsa You can prepare the Japanese Delight Tuna Salsa with lots of vegetable and fruit fills. This recipe is great for family outings, especially when you are camping. INGREDIENTS 2 tuna steaks 1 tbsp crushed garlic Salt and pepper 2 tbsp vegetable oil 1/4 cup sake 2 tbsp soy sauce 3/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes 2 tbsp finely chopped green onion 1 tbsp fresh finely chopped cilantro 1 tbsp lemon juice 1-2 peeled avocados thin sliced DIRECTIONS ºº Rinse the tuna in fresh water and pat dry with a paper towel. Spread the crushed garlic and salt on both sides of the tuna uniformly. Keep aside in a bowl. ºº In a separate bowl, mix the tomatoes, cilantro and green onion. Add the lemon juice, sake and soy sauce. This is the salsa. ºº Fry the tuna on the frying pan with vegetable oil until the sides turn mid-brown. Make sure the heat does not roast the pan beyond that. Once done, spread the sauce on all the sides of the tuna steaks. Take the tuna off the stove and let it cool for about 2-3 minutes.
