INDIAN DELIGHT
The menu focuses on four elements of Indian
cuisine, North Indian, Chaat, South Indian and
Indian Chinese. We have selected one dish from
each discipline to profile the full spectrum of their
culinary profile.
Kashmiri Rogan Josh is a northern lamb curry. An
aromatic lamb dish of Persian origins spiced with
Curry leaf & cinnamon slow braised lamb with
fresh coriander the signature dish of Kashmiri
cuisine. It was brought to Kashmir by the
Mughals, whose cuisine was in turn influenced
by Persian cuisine. The unrelenting summer heat
of the Indian plains took the Mughals frequently
to Kashmir, which has a cooler climate because
of its elevation and latitude
Boneless Chilli chicken (fillets or cubes) are
marinated in soya sauce, chili sauce and
pepper. Then deep fried and then seasoned again
in sauces to get the best chinese chilli chicken. It
tastes hot, sweet and sour. It is best served hot
as an appetizer or with a fried rice, Haka noodles,
Chinese egg fried noodles or Veg noodles.
The perfect choice for a quality Indian meal in
lower Silom
As most South Indian dishes we have selected
Masala Dosa, a wafer thin crisp rice flour
pancake rolled around spice diced potato.
Indian Delight is a harmonious blend of
traditional and contemporary sophistication with
a contemporary European feel, visually spectacular
in every way. This elegant Indian restaurant is
located on Silom Road has seamlessly married
the traditional Indian themes with a simple
palette of bespoke furnishings.
Chef Davender and his team of five Indian chefs,
each of whom specialise they the ir own field,
have taken Indian food to a different dimension
with new techniques, innovative presentations
and usage of organic produce and spices. He has
reinvented Indian food with unusual creations
and pairings. The menu is a rich accumulation of
Indian recipes evolved to the next level. The main
dining room seats 40 guests, with a banquet
room for another 50.
Snack foodseaten with tea are a significant aspect
of Indian cuisine, and are sometimes referred to
as chaat and a popular here all day. From their
selection we have selected “Pani Puri” popular
Indian street snack. It consists of a round, hollow
puri, fried crisp and filled with a mixture of
flavored mint water (“pani”), tamarind chutney,
chili, chaat masala, potato, onion and chickpeas.
It is generally small enough to fit completely into
one’s mouth.
As a result of a whole Chinese community
migrating to Eastern India and the exchange of
ideas, cultures and traditions Indian Chinese
cuisine was born. It’s popular Chinese dishes
cooked in an Indian style incorporating local
ingredients and spices. A cuisine that evolved
due to the relocation and adapting to its new
environment.
