COYOTE MEXICAN BAR & GRILL
The Mexican bar and grill concept Started
in Hong Kong 15 years ago. It has been on
the Bangkok dining map for the past decade.
Previous branches were in Soi Convent and on
the corner of Sukhumvit 33, both closed when
their leases expired. It has now re-appeared in
Sukhumvit Soi 11 on the former Angel City Diner.
Beverages are to the fore with the food sitting
behind. On arrival guest are greeted by the Semi
oval copper bars. The kitchen with unfinished
walls Adobe style made to look like a jail. The
décor both lights and fittings are imported from
Mexico to ensure an authentic ambiance.
The Wall of Flame houses the widest selection
of international and local chilli sauces including
three house sauces. There is male macho culture
of groups of lads competing with each other as
to who can take the hottest, boys will boys.

A margarita bar and Mexican restaurant that’s
very popular with Thais as they can get the chilli
the crave from a food style other than Thai. A
food style to share that is a mix of authentic
Mexican and southern USA cuisine. Their bar
has the largest selection of Tequila in Thailand
and they have a diverse selection of margaritas
served frozen or on the rocks. It also has a
reputation for its beautiful servers who are dressed
in denim shirts with blue jeans and cowboy hats.
toasted flour tortillas packed with Jack cheese,
spring onion and grilled shrimp topped with
guacamole, Pico de Gallo and sour cream. And
La Palata Entrada an appetiser platter and a trio
of dips; Wings of Fire, chicken wings dry rubbed
with cayenne pepper and cumin with the choice
of either a blue cheese or honey dip, mushroom
quesadillas and mixed skewers
The dish that really worked for us was pulled
pork burgers slow roast pork several hours
mixed with house BBQ sauce. Served chill
roasted potatoes honey
Their happy hours from 4-7pm or 10pm-midnight for buy-one-get-one-free on all margaritas
and beers (Carlsberg, Singha, Tiger and San
Miguel Light). Ladies Night is every Thursday
and the lunch special of a main course and salad
changes daily.
Don’t make the mistake of believing because
there is barbers chair that you can get your hair
cut. It’s an instrument of the drinking culture.
The occupant has their drinks tilted down their
throat. They are almost never volunteers rather
accepting the challenge from their friends.
The laid back hangout to sip great margaritas
while grazing on stunning Mexican dishes.
There three signature dishes are Coyote Nachos
a hearty plate of homemade tortilla chips topped
with shredded grilled chicken, dice chorizo,
melted cheese, onions, tomatoes, black beans,
jalapeños, black olives, sour cream Pico de Gallo
and avocado. The portions are large enough for
two or more people to graze on while they sip
