Stroud FM have added a new website stories.stroudfm.co.uk which
is a collection of audio reminiscences. Things that older people
remember of their life in the area. Care centres have been raided for
some gems and a few dialect words not seen anywhere else. Ever
heard of shoe snobbing or bought scrumps in a fish & chip shop? Plus a
few racy numbers that could have happened anywhere – ooer missus.
stroudfm.co.uk (listen on your PC/smart phone) runs several folkie
progs like Sandrine’s Country Folk Sun 7-9pm plus repeats, ask her for
a Seth Lakeman track – she will play one anyway. Chris Fry’s Groovy
thing is quirky but his folk track choices are priceless. And an eclectic
Blues prog Sun afternoon plus repeats. 50 presenters and growing!
