Its main function is to be used in situation where you can’t have the hassle of continuously holding on to and carry around your media player such as exercising, workouts or anything that can’t have you be distracted by having to change songs and settings.
It has 2gb of space for your songs, which doesn’t seem like a lot at this day and age, but it does still let you keep up to 480 songs (based on Apple’s estimates) and up to 15 hours of battery life, which is more than enough for an average Joe’s daily routine.
