Crufts is a dog show held in the United Kingdom every year that dogs and owners all over the world travel to, to compete in. Any dog lover is a big fan of the show and will always have it on the TV when it is on. At Crufts there is a section for Trade Stands, where brands can set up a stand and promote and sell their goods. This would be perfect for Bertie’s Boutique; I could bring all my best selling products. It would cost me £300 to have a stand, I think the price is definitely worth it. With around 160,000 visitors, we could make a lot of money and definitely gain lots of new customers. It is the perfect opportunity to get our name out there.
Another good place to have a stand at is Olympia Horse Show. In December, for 7 days, every year, Olympia is held. With lots of different horse shows held across the week, Olympia is very popular with around 80,000 visitors. The exhibition hall, which is where all the stands are, is open from 2pm – 9:30pm on Monday and Tuesday and for the rest of the week it is 10am- 9:30pm. Horse lovers from all over country visit the show, and most horse lovers do own dogs. Therefore, it will again hopefully widen my target audience and bring some more publicity to the brand. Olympia also sells ‘shopping only tickets’ for people who only want to attend the stands. To have a stand it would cost me up to £400 for two days, however the price depends on the day you choose, and the expected footfall between the areas.
