COMPETITORS
ASOS ECO EDIT would be classed as competition for Sandi Swimwear as it shared the same views of the Eco friendly topic as well as being solely online based; ASOS Eco edit is ethically sourced and made from recycled polyamide yarn. There prices are vaguely similar so share similar customer buying budgets and I also believe they share a similar target customer.
BAHIMI swimwear is a new fairly new UK brand that sells swimwear and cover ups again this brand is another solely online business. This brand promotes widely across the use of social media, a lot of their customers had heard of Bahimi from celebrity promotional posts on Instagram. Many reality TV stars buy products from this brand as it is very affordable and on trend.
I would also class Freya Swimwear as one of my key competitors. This brand caters for women who tend to have a bigger bust. Freya starts their cup sizing at a B cup but mostly at a C cup. Their prices are also vaguely similar and from previous knowledge I know how well made the quality is. Although Freya is also an online based retailer it can be bought in stores such as Bravissimo and
Lastly, MONDAY SWIMWEAR is one competitor I looked at for inspiration. This brand was created based on the owners/designers passion for swimwear. Their involvement and experiences drove them to produce a brand that caters for all- size wise. Although their prices are more expensive than Sandi Swimwear, they have thought about what their customers looks for in a swimwear brand in a very carefully detailed way. Their website is easy to navigate and is linked to their social media platforms. It helps that the owners are two public figures that have 3.2 million followers between them on their personal Instagrams to help drive sales.
