With the Eiffel Tower and everything . However London just beats New York in attracting tourists , according to CNN Travel . London is famous with tourists for many reasons . As a global leader in banking and financial services , the city of 8.17 million residents attracts a steady stream of business travelers . With 43 universities ~ the highest concentration of higher education in Europe ~ it ’ s popular with international students and scholars . Yes , London ’ s very smart as well .
