The half-off day pass is just one of many ways Jackson Hole will celebrate its 60th anniversary. The main celebration is scheduled for December 19, followed by the 10-day Winterfest from December 22 to New Year’ s Eve. Check the resort website for any changes. The resort also welcomes new executive chef Fernando Mendez, who comes after managing several culinary teams at different Four Seasons locations. Mendez’ s skills will be showcased right away at two new on-mountain spots, Tram Dock and Trapper’ s, the upscale restaurant at the Sweetwater Gondola mid-station. Of course, there’ s plenty of snow to enjoy too, especially in Corbet’ s Couloir and off the 2024 Sublette high-speed quad.
GETTING THERE
Launching in December 2025, United Airlines will begin seasonal winter nonstop service from Washington Dulles International Airport( IAD) to Jackson Hole Airport( JAC) once a week.
STEAMBOAT SKI RESORT, COLORADO
More than any other resort in North America, Steamboat is the place to be during the 2026 Winter Olympics. Why? Thirteen medalists from the Beijing Olympics hail from here. The resort’ s on-mountain expansion continues at full speed, adding 650 new acres across Mahogany Ridge. There’ s also a new development featuring the Range Food Hall & Drink Hall, Skeeters Ice Rink, and a performance space. The 10-passenger Wild Blue Gondola now travels 3.16 miles in just 13 minutes, making it the longest and fastest bottom-to-top ride in North America. Steamboat has also increased snowmaking at its newish(‘ 22 /’ 23) Greenhorn Ranch learning area, reflecting a 2025-26 trend. Overall, Steamboat has invested over $ 200 million to enhance what was already a premier winter resort.
