CBP GLOBAL ENTRY
Global Entry is a U. S. Customs and Border Protection program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Pre-approved and pre-screened travelers have access to expedited clearance lanes that eliminate the need for paperwork at Dulles International. Additionally, these travelers can skip automated kiosks when using the Global Entry app upon arrival. Both technologies are in use at Dulles and can reduce wait times.
When returning from an international trip, use the free app that can save time at the airport.
MOBILE PASSPORT CONTROL
Use the free Mobile Passport Control, or“ MPC app,” for a faster trip through U. S. Customs when returning from an international trip.
REAL ID
Don’ t forget to bring a Real ID or other TSA approved ID to the checkpoint to avoid delays if you are a U. S. passenger. All airline passengers 18 years or older need a Real ID-compliant driver’ s license or another federally approved form of identification to board flights and access certain federal facilities.
The Real ID driver’ s licenses have a small star on them to indicate they meet federal regulations that establish minimum security standards.
Acceptable alternative IDs include:
• Passport
• Global Entry card
• U. S. Department of Defense ID
