Dulles International and Reagan National airports are ready to launch summer vacations to destinations across the United States and around the world. More than 20 million passengers are expected to travel through the region’ s two airports from May through August, with 11 million of those customers using Dulles International. With more passengers than ever at Dulles and the sustained popularity of Reagan, here are some important tips.
ARRIVE EARLY
Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international flight. If there is any bad weather in the forecast, check with your airline for flight information before you leave for the airport.

Picking up? Use the Cell Phone Lot to wait for arriving passengers. After your arriving passengers have collected their baggage and exited the terminal, have them call you with the door number and level( departure or arrivals) where they are waiting.

Dropping off? Use Kiss & Fly Drop-Off to save time. Located at the Dulles Silver Line Metro station, which provides easy access to moving walkways that take passengers straight to the terminal. Follow“ Kiss & Fly Drop Off” signs and avoid curbside congestion.
RESERVE PARKING

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority announced in May a new“ Tap. Ride. Go.” credit card system that will make Metrorail travel to Dulles International and Reagan National airports even more convenient.
Customers can now simply tap a credit card at the turnstile instead of stopping to buy a separate fare card. The launch of the system modernizes fare payment and enhances the overall travel experience for residents and visitors. This is especially beneficial for passengers— whether they’ re first-time visitors or infrequent users— who can easily hop on Metro without purchasing a fare card.
