NEW CHILDREN ’ S PLAY AREA AT REAGAN NATIONAL AIRPORT ’ S NATIONAL HALL
The new play area was created in partnership with the National Children ’ s Museum and Boeing . The space is the culmination of months of work by a cross-functional Airports Authority team .
“ As more families visit our airports , we need to make sure we ’ re making their experience a good one . That ’ s why we ’ re delighted to have a new play space dedicated just for them at Reagan National Airport . It gives children a place to play , which also could lead to more comfortable travel experiences for all passengers ,” said Jack Potter , President and CEO of the Airports Authority .
Named Curiosity Runway , the play area was designed , fabricated , and installed by the museum and its design team . Boeing provided financial backing for the play area . A perimeter wall that encloses the space was built by the facilities and maintenance team at Reagan National . The play area ’ s location is near Chick-fil-A and the North Security Checkpoint .
