the road again soon , this time playing a part in the second “ Wonder Woman ” film that is currently in development with Jenkins and Gadot , due to begin shooting later this year and hit theaters in November 2019 .
“ Lynda . . . has been a great mentor and a dear friend ,” Patty Jenkins told “ Entertainment Tonight ” at the Palm Springs Film Festival in early January 2018 . “ We actually desperately tried to get her in the first one , and we had the scheduling that couldn ’ t work , so she ’ s always been a part of our ‘ Wonder Woman ’ family . We won ’ t say anything yet [ about her appearing in the next movie ], but there ’ s no lack of trying .”

She ’ s even saved two of her original red , white and blue costumes from the original television show , with each one earmarked for each of her children to cherish .
“ Wonder Woman is a great thing . I love Wonder Woman . I love playing her ,” she says . “ But it is strange , it ’ s very strange [ to be an American icon ]. My father — he ’ s 95 — will sometimes say , ‘ You know , sometimes I just can ’ t get over how famous you are .’ And I say , ‘ I know , Dad . I know . I can ’ t either .”
