KID’S ZONE
Kids can show off their muscles and raise money
too! In the Kid’s Pull, teams compete to see
who can pull a big red dump truck, provided by
123Junk, the fastest. The cost is $10 per child,
and you can register at the event on event day,
starting at 11:30 am. All participants get a Kid’s
Pull t-shirt.
Whether your kids are competing or just
coming out to play, there’s a Kid’s Zone with
a bounce house, games, music, and dunk tank
for all-day fun.
DULLES 5K/10K
ON THE RUNWAY
The Dulles 5k/10k on the Runway is the flattest,
fastest race course in the area, with 2,500
runners and walkers competing in either the 5k
or 10k challenge. The race begins at the Steven
F. Udvar-Hazy Center (located in Chantilly,
Virginia, and part of the Smithsonian’s National
Air and Space Museum) and continues onto a
runway at Dulles Airport, but don’t worry, no
planes will be landing on that runway.
Get a unique look at the airport grounds,
while running past planes and along the actual
landing strip on this certified looped course.
Water stations throughout the course keep
competitors hydrated, and all proceeds benefit
Special Olympics Virginia, the Committee for
Dulles Community, the Committee for Dulles
Community Outreach, and the Washington
Airports Task Force.
Visit dullesrunwayrun.com for detailed
information on the race and how to sign up.
The Dulles 5K/10K is one of the most exclusive
races in the metro area, and registration fills up
quickly, so don’t delay.
