I was raised by a feminist

Being raised by a feminist

Did not leave me at the corner of

“I can’t do this” or “I can’t be this”

It did not make me complain

Of the sometimes lack of resources

And it surely did not make me harbor on the non-essentials

Like being popular

Or

Making enough money to buy some

Luxurious brand name

Piece of clothing or attire

That I really didn’t need

Because I was already shown abundance

I was taught to be profound

I was taught to know self-freedom

I was raised by a feminist

Being raised by a feminist

Made me wise

Made me self-sufficient

Made me have faith

And

Taught me how to overcome

Taught me how to become a solution not a problem

Most importantly

Taught me that every living being

On this planet have rights

And movements for justice hemmed together

Can make the cosmos shake
