Historic Tours of Flagler College highlight
the architectural heritage of the former Hotel
Ponce de León, listed as a National Historic
Landmark. Built by railroad magnate, Henry
M. Flagler in 1888, the Ponce is considered one
of the finest examples of Spanish Renaissance
architecture and was one of the most exclusive
resorts of its day. Guided tours are available twice
daily and hourly during summer and winter.

The circa-1750 Peña-Peck house has been called
home by Spanish, British and American families.
Since 1932, The Woman’s Exchange, founded in
St. Augustine in 1892, manages the Peña-Peck
House and also offers guided tours and operates
a gift shop, where you can purchase American
handcrafted and specialty gift items.

The Lincolnville Museum & Cultural Center is in
the heart of Lincolnville, in the southeast corner
of downtown St. Augustine, in a community built
by ex-slaves and freedmen in the post-Civil War
era. Originally opened as a “colored school” in
1902, the building is on the National Register of
Historic Places and serves as a repository for African
American history and culture in northeast Florida.
