October 10 Taking the Plunge: Enlistment in the Spanish Garrison In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Castillo de San Marcos presents a special ticketed event in which visitors follow in the steps of a young Spanish boy who enlists in the Spanish Garrison of St. Augustine to defend his home, family and country. Separate fee applies for this event: $8 for adults (age 16 and over); $4 for children (ages 5-15); free for children under 5.
