August 2 Counting Crows and Special Guest Citizen Cope At 6 p.m. (gates open at 4:30 p.m.), the St. Augustine Amphitheatre welcomes alternative folk-rock favorites Counting Crows and their “Somewhere Under Wonderland” tour. One of the most enduring and top live bands performing today, Counting Crows got its start in 1993 and since then has provided much of the soundtrack to our lives. Their #1 hit “Accidentally in Love” was featured in the Shrek 2 soundtrack and received Grammy, Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations. Also performing is Citizen Cope, described by one Rolling Stone writer as “Rawness improbably balanced by a mixture of danger and delicacy”.
