April 14 Ancient Dunes Trail Hike Enjoy a guided hike through ancient dunes shaded by a maritime hammock at Anastasia State Park from 1-2 p.m. Discover the park’s natural communities while exploring this unique trail. Although only a mile long, this hike is more challenging than our other trails due to the natural sloping landscape. Meet at the Hilltop Picnic Area, near the parking lot. Suggested items to bring are binoculars, comfortable walking shoes, a camera, drinking water, bug spray and sunscreen. This event is weather permitting and subject to cancellation. The event is open to public and free for spectators. Awards will be presented for each age group in each event.
