Walk on the Wild Side
This walk at Anastasia State Park from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. starts out on the
beautiful shoreline, through the sand dunes, over the salt marsh, around
Salt Run, the park’s estuarine habitat, and through the maritime hammock.
The round-trip length is 2.5 miles at a leisurely pace. Suggested items to bring
are binoculars, comfortable walking shoes, a camera, drinking water, bug spray
and sunscreen. Meet in the beach parking lot at the end of the main park road.
This event is weather permitting and subject to cancellation. The walk is free
