AVS Paws for a Cause 5K
This pet-friendly event in Nocatee is a 5K run and one-mile fun run/walk,
which benefits the AVS Charitable Fund of the Veterinary Care Foundation.
Participants will receive a t-shirt and medal. The event also includes
pet-friendly vendors, pet costume contest, pet photo booth and information
on adoptable pets. The race begins at 9 a.m. Registration ranges from

Drum Runner Series Barrel Racing at St. Johns County Fairgrounds
Saddle up and head over to the St. Johns County Fairgrounds for barrel,
pole and other timed speed horse events. The event is open to public and
free for spectators. Participants must have own horse. Participation fees are
$20 for St. Johns County Horse Council members and $30 for non-members.
Awards will be presented for each age group in each event. The races begin

Moonlight & Magnolias Fall Gala
The Junior Service League of St. Augustine hosts its annual gala under a full
moon at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. The black-tie celebration
begins at 5:30 p.m. and features a string quartet accompanied cocktail hour,
silent auction and dinner and dancing, including full open bar and DJ as well
as charitable gambling. All proceeds benefit the Junior Service League of
St. Augustine and the organization’s charities. Tickets range from $150-$125.
