Matanzas 5000 35th Annual 5K & Fun Run
The 35th annual Matanzas 5000 5K and Fun Run begins at
Francis Field, located on West Castillo Dr. in St. Augustine, and
continues downtown along the historic bayfront. The awards
ceremony follows the race. Registration is $20 in advance
through January 12th, $25 January 13th - January 23; $30 the

Eugenia Zuckerman & Amigos
Flutist, TV personality and journalist Eugenia Zuckerman and

As part of the Ideas and Images lecture series, Dr. J. Michael
Francis, professor of history and Hough Family chair of Florida
Studies, University of South Florida-St. Petersburg, discusses
“St. Augustine’s 450th: History and Commemoration in
America’s Oldest City.” The lecture begins at 7 p.m. at the Lewis

Flagler College Forum: John Sawyer
John Sawyer is director of the Pulitzer Center on Crisis
Reporting, a non-profit organization that funds independent
reporting. Sawyer became the center’s founding director after
a 31-year career with the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Part of the
Flagler College Forum on Government and Public Policy series,
the lecture begins at 7 p.m. at Lewis Auditorium at Flagler
