Tim Grey is a photographer and educator, focused on helping photographers
make the most of their photography by offering clear guidance on complex
subjects. Tim has written more than a dozen books on digital imaging for
photographers, has published dozens of video training courses, and has had
hundreds of articles published in magazines such as Digital Photo Pro and
Outdoor Photographer, among others. For over a dozen years he has been
publishing the daily Ask Tim Grey eNewsletter, answering questions from
photographers, and more recently started producing the related Ask Tim Grey
Podcast. He also publishes the monthly Pixology electronic magazine, and
produces a wide variety of video training courses for photographers available
through his GreyLearning website. Tim teaches through workshops, seminars,
and appearances at major events around the world.

This field photography workshop will explore downtown St. Augustine, as
we focus on capturing a sense of place through photography. We’ll explore
together and discuss how to go about both discovering and photographing a
particular location. In the process, you’ll learn to convey not just what the place
looks like, but what it feels like to be there. Through this field photography
workshop you’ll gain confidence in being able to approach a new subject, and
you’ll improve the composition and creativity of your images.

originals, and in this session Tim Grey will share some of his favorite tools and
techniques to help you create stunning black and white images. You’ll learn
about what images generally work best for black and white, how to optimize
your photos at the time of capture, and how to produce incredible black and
white interpretations from your color originals.
