PA B LO
C E R VA N T E S
Pablo came to Tandayapa by accident; this city-loving engineer had to go
to the lodge to help out for a week, became hooked on bird photography
and started taking out professional photographers and helping with
photography workshops. He is currently working on photographic wildlife
guides to Ecuador and Mexico. He now guides professional photographers
to Ecuador, Brazil and Mexico, and will be soon branching out to other
continents. He also manages Tandayapa Bird Lodge, and you can find him
there tinkering with new techniques for shooting hummers.

Are you interested in hummingbird photography, but not sure if you are
ready to take a workshop? Here Pablo Cervantes from Tandayapa Bird Lodge
in Ecuador, simply the finest hummingbird photography place on Earth, will
give personal mini-workshops for you (and up to two friends) where he will
explain the setups, help you take some shots with our fake hummingbirds
on real backgrounds, and show you how it all works. He will set the rig
up for your camera, or you can use his with your memory card. You will
learn how to measure the different light outputs, configure the flashes for
different effects, and see how high speed sync can be a real alternative to
manual flash for some situations. The goal of this mini-workshop is to have
you leave understanding what you need to get to the next step with the
real thing. A note of caution though; this stuff is highly addictive.
