Phase 2: Forest
This phase can have 2 different panel layouts. Have a look which corners are safe (without thorns) as the phase changes in preparation for mechanics.
These thorns will hurt you and give u a stacking damage-taken up debuff the longer you are in them.
Waltz: (Forest Panel) Briars/tethers
This is a chain mechanic – Similar to Shinryu EX (and The Vault dungeon boss), the chains/briars must be broken by moving away from your tethered partner. Here each DPS is tethered to a tank or a healer. So, healers and tanks move together north into the corner without thorns, and all DPS move southwards towards their safe corner too. This will break the chains – then you run back into centre to resume DPS.
- Don’t move until you see the actual chains
- Tanks & Healers north. DPS south (opposite corners into safe-spots).
- Popping sprint helps speed this mechanic up
- These same rules apply for the next waltz – but you will be under “Mindjack” for the next one.
- Passing the tether mechanic automatically bypasses the fire AoE – so generally ignore that.

Dodge! Casts Thunder3 line AoE
