Now about 2 years ago I was playing through the storyline of FF14. What happened back then still happens to a lot of people that loved the story. It would start with you feeling guilty about it happening all the time; "am I delaying people too much?"

Yes, you probably guessed it. I am ranting about running dungeons for the first time and wanting to watch cutscenes. Not everyone wants to watch them and that is fine, but some people however seem to forget that others really play FF14 for the story too. There is a growing rush culture that is making this difficult for people to enjoy the cutscenes at all.

It is even getting so bad that when we last got a story party together, to do the castrum and The Praetorium, people did not even know how not to rush. Cutscenes were stacked on top of each other and even when people wanted to wait they accidently triggered more of them.

For the future I just hope that we as a Free Company can ensure that our own new members don't have to go through the same annoyances that other story lovers had to.

What do you think?

Should I write a 'how to' on story runs? Let me know!
