Traffic Routes
The most common application of floor marking is pedestrian and vehicle
pathway markings. Forklift collisions with workers are a major cause of
workplace fatalities and are a clear indicator of the importance clearly marked
traffic flows and routes can have.
Floor marking emergency exit routes, including use of directional arrows
and photoluminescent lines are also crucially important, and can save lives.
Properly done, employees or visitors will easily be able to navigate to safe
egress with NO training.

Workplace Communication
There are virtually no limits to the ways floor marking can be used for visual
communication, such as marking ‘operator area’ to indicate where a worker
should be while performing a procedure or operating a machine or tool;
marking ‘keep clear’ areas; ‘no smoking’, etcetera. The need for thoughtful
and creative visual communication exists whenever and wherever critical
or important information needs to be conveyed.
