Removing Floor Marking Tape One of the great advantages to using tape instead of paint is ease of removal. Using tape makes it much easier to alter your floor marking to accommodate changing situations like production workflow or area renovations. These steps will allow removal of floor marking tape mess-free and easy: 1. Lift the edge of the tape using a putty knife or razor blade. 2. Slowly pull the tape up at a 90° or greater angle. 3. Pull the tape evenly, applying equal force across the width of the tape. Unequal force increases the risk of tape tearing in strips instead of coming off in one piece. 4. Use a specialized cleaning solution like isopropyl alcohol to remove any residue remaining on floor. 26
