The tackle needed to fish for Spotted Bay Bass, simple you can do great with your freshwater Bass setups.  For me I use a 6 to 7 foot medium action rod combined with  braid line 18 to 20 lbs. with about a 6 to 8 lbs fluoro leader.  A good spinning reel and or a conventional reel will work just fine (it’s more of a personal choice).  Just so your information if you don’t fish saltwater often, know that the saltwater will eventually kill your gear if you don’t clean it often.  Most of your freshwater lures you use for bass will get the job done, simply a good plastic worm or creature bait will get you into some action.  What most of us use and you will find in my tackle box are the following.  3 inch Big Hammer swimbaits in many different colors, Hookup baits in 1/4oz weight in many different colors, Dropshot worms 4 inch in many colors, and Fluke’s 4 inch in yep you got it in many different colors.
