The Spotted Bay Bass also known as the Paralabrax maculatofasciatus is one of the most targeted fish by Saltwater Float Tubers.  They are ideal for float tube fishing as they are inshore and love to hold tight to structures like Docks, Pylons, and Eelgrass beds.  Not to mention they are one of the better fighting fish inshore.  These Spotted Bass Bass or Spotties for short do not get very big and in fact a 3 to 4 lber is a prize catch among Spottie fishermen.  So I want to just break down the basics of fishing for these fun saltwater fish the basics as I have learned over time fishing for these fish.
