EUROPEAN
CERTIFICATES
(EUROPASS & YOUTH PASS)
The examples we will present here are
just some of the recognized methods
and tools of certification valid at
European level. For sure there are
more, but we cannot tackle all of them.
So we choose these 2 examples,
due to their wide use and growing
recognition. They all are promoted and
empowered to be used in the Erasmus
+ program (we presented in the first
number of Flipchart magazine).
One of them includes several
documents underthe
same name: Europass.

YouthPass
Youthpass is a European recognition tool for
non-formal and informal learning in youth
work. Youthpass is for projects funded by
Erasmus+ Youth in Action and Youth in Action
programmes. With Youthpass the participants
of these projects can describe what they
have done and show what they have learnt.
Youthpass was launched in July 2007.
Youthpass is a part of the European
Commission’s strategy to foster the
recognition of non-formal learning.
It is available for projects funded by
Erasmus+: Youth in Action (2014-2020) and
Youth in Action (2007-2013) programmes.
