INFINITEFLIGH

“ THE NEXT GENERATION FLIGHT SIMULATOR

The range of aircraft that Infinite Flight offers it ’ s users is quite satisfactory- Most major commercial airliners , as well as some props , fighters , and even old warbirds . Of course there are still a few big names missing off that list , namely the A350 Family , as well as additions to the A340 family , for example . This is understandably an ever evolving part of the sim , that will continue to be improved upon . A perfect example being the upcoming 777- 200LR and 787-8 / 9 / 10 , that are confirmed to be included in the next few updates .

The quality of the aircraft themselves are a little varied though ; The relatively new A320 family and the Dash 8 Q400 have been fantastically made . They feature some brilliant texturing , and look absolutely amazing for just that reason . The flight models on these aircraft are of good quality , and so the physics seem to make the aircraft perform just as you would expect them to in real life or on desktop level simulators . To add to that there are the high-definition , specially modelled 3D cockpits that makes for a truly immsersive experience . The A320 family also feature a robust autoland mode that works for both ILS and GPS approaches , which
works wonders in low visibility , and even in crosswinds up to about 15kts .
Whereas with older aircraft it ’ s a completely different story- For example , take the A340 . The flight model and the physics are slightly off , most notably resulting in a slightly downwards pitch when maintaining a cruise altitude . The cockpit is a little blurry , and does not have any illuminated displays come night , which can make flying at that time a little boring . This aircraft also does not feature the autoland function either for those difficult low visibility approaches and extra realism .
