Dr. Tuckson briefly worked at the Cleveland Clinic before returning to Howard University Hospital where he practiced as Chief of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery.

Dr. Tuckson uses multiple avenues to improve the health of the community. He has served on the boards of Air Pollution Control and Metro Louisville Public Health and Wellness, and he regularly volunteers with Surgery on Sunday Louisville, the program directed by Dr. Erica Sutton, where surgical services are provided free of charge to people who aren’ t eligible for health insurance or cannot afford the cost of care.
Dr. Tuckson is married to Brenda Tuckson. They have two sons, Wayne Lee Tuckson and James H. Clay III.
GLMS is conducting this year’ s election entirely online for the offices listed as well as KMA delegates.
