Hydro Tasmania was recognised for its commitment to fleet sustainability through the expansion of electric vehicles, significant investment in charging infrastructure and the successful integration of EVs across diverse and remote operating environments.
Fast Facts
• Targeting 130 electric passenger vehicles by 2030, representing approximately 45 % of its fleet.
• Deployed 26 electric vehicles as part of its fleet transition program.
• Installed 20 DC chargers, 31 AC chargers and six portable DC chargers.
• Increased total charging capacity by 461 %.
• Reduced fleet emissions by an estimated 138,495kg of CO₂ since October 2023.
