Mitsubishi acquired 4.2 per cent market share, placing the brand at 6th place. The Japanese brand followed MG closely with sales of 26,369 units in 2025. Its performance dropped by a slight 3.5 per cent YoY.
At 7th place is Ford, whose performance also declined by 12.5 per cent YoY. The American automaker sold 18,271 units and acquired 2.9 per cent in 2025. GWM also sold around 18,000 units and acquired 2.9 per cent market share, placing it at the 8th spot. Unlike Ford, GWM’ s sales improved drastically by 145.2 per cent in 2025 compared to 2024.
Changan Motors placed 9th, selling 14,964 units and acquiring 2.4 per cent in 2025. The brand’ s sales jumped 75 per cent YoY. An even more impressive sales improvement came from GAC, which sold 13,874 units in 2025, jumping 167.6 from 2024. The brand acquired 2.2 per cent market share.
VIETNAM
Data from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association( VAMA) revealed that its members sold a total of 375,736 vehicles in 2025. With an improvement of 10.5 per cent YoY, December 2025 sales drove Vietnam’ s year-end performance. December sales were up 49 per cent year-on-year, becoming the country’ s bestselling month of the year.
Non-VAMA member and Vietnam’ s own VinFast broke“ an unprecedented sales record” in 2025. According to the brand’ s press release, VinFast delivered a total of 175,099 EVs in 2025 and maintained the holder of the largest market share for 15 months in a row.
Aside from annual sales, VinFast also broke the record for“ the highest monthly sales volume ever recorded by any automaker in Vietnam.”
In December alone, the brand delivered 27,649 EVs in Vietnam. Its Limo Green model drove this surge in sales with 10,981 units of the model delivered in the same month.
Toyota’ s 2025 sales came to less than half of VinFast’ s at 71,954 units. The Japanese automaker is the highest-selling brand among VAMA members, acquiring 19.2 per cent of the market share and improving 8.1 per cent YoY.
Ford followed with a wide gap, selling 50,450 units in 2025. The American manufacturer acquired 13.4 per cent of the market and grew by 19.6 per cent from 2024.
Mitsubishi placed 3rd among VAMA members with 44,107 units sold and 11.7 per cent market share acquired. The company’ s sales rose by 7.1 per cent compared to the same period in 2024.
Thaco Mazda sold 32,455 units and acquired 8.6 per cent market share in 2025, placing it at the 4th spot. Its sales slightly declined by only 0.4 per cent. Honda came in 5th place with 28,719 units sold and 7.6 per cent market share acquired. Compared to sales from 2024, Honda improved by a slight 1.6 per cent.
Thaco Kia’ s performance slowed down by a notable 21.4 per cent in 2025 compared to 2024. The brand sold 27,176 units and acquired 7.2 per cent market share. On the other hand, Thaco Truck’ s sales rose by 55.1 per cent, placing it at the 7th spot for 2025. The brand sold 24,810 units and acquired 6.6 per cent market share in 2025.
Isuzu placed 8th in the top 10, selling 11,742 units in 2025. Despite its improvement of 11.6 per cent, the brand acquired only 3.1 per cent market share. Suzuki followed with slightly more than half of Isuzu’ s sales. It sold 6,596 units and acquired 1.8 per cent market share in 2025, declining by 35.7 per cent YoY.
Hino placed 10th among VAMA members, selling 3,379 units in 2025. The brand acquired 0.9 per cent market share and saw a drastic sales improvement of 130.8 per cent YoY.
