Welcome to the April edition of FleetDrive! In this edition, we’ re exploring what’ s really driving the shift to electric vehicles. The transition to EVs is changing how fleets operate, from route planning and funding infrastructure to managing day-to-day charging needs.
In this edition, we look at how fleets are adopting smart, practical solutions to manage their evolving needs. From combined fuel and EV charging strategies to home charging policies for staff, operators are finding creative ways to stay ahead.
We take a close look at smart EV management systems that help keep operations efficient and explore how Charging as a Service is emerging as a funding model for infrastructure rollouts. Plus, we feature real stories— including insights from endusers on the NVES, and how organisations are handling the rise of PHEVs following changes to FBT concessions.
We also turn our focus to electrification efforts in Southeast Asia, where local conditions and policy landscapes present both challenges and opportunities for fleet operators.
Whether your fleet is just starting out with EVs or refining an existing setup, this issue offers grounded, real-world guidance to help you make better decisions.
On another note, preparations for the 2025 Australasian Fleet Leadership and Education Summit are well underway. This year’ s Fleet
