FLEETDRIVE cranes , we have the opportunity to extend their lifespan and avoid long lead times from overseas suppliers . Similarly , hour meters on minor plant equipment inform our replacement schedules , ensuring timely updates . For hoists , hour meters guide our inspection programs , enhancing safety and reliability . Additionally , hour meters on auxiliary pumps and generators provide critical data for making informed decisions about asset maintenance and second-life usage . This technology has been instrumental in optimising our asset management strategies .
COBO System : Enhancing Safety and Compliance
The COBO System , an electronic controller for safety and accessory management , has been crucial in meeting LCC ’ s Chain of Responsibility ( COR ) requirements for operating heavy fleet vehicles . This advanced technology integrates a truck diagram into the system , providing audible and visible alerts and controls for various truck body systems . It ensures operations are halted until any alerts are resolved , covering critical functions such as body up alarm , tailgate alarm , PTO control , tarp control , body raise and lower , tailgate open and close ( for larger trucks with an onboard air system ), park brake alarm , seat belt alarm , beacon control , cabinet door open , roll and pitch indicators ( if required ), and cabinet lighting . Additionally , the system includes a feature that requires operators to acknowledge the completion of a pre-start check before beginning their journey , ensuring thorough adherence to safety protocols .
Streamlining Customer Service with Genesys Phone Software
The Genesys software has revolutionised how we manage customer calls . By directing calls to a central call center number , the next available officer can promptly assist customers , eliminating the issue of unanswered calls when staff are engaged . This system also tracks call volumes and peak times , enabling precise staff rostering . It monitors average wait and handling times , providing valuable data for working group KPIs . The use of Wrap-up codes captures detailed information on why customers contact PFS , while call recording aids in managing customer complaints . Additionally , tracking abandoned calls offers insights for improving customer service .
Revolutionising Fleet Management with IVMS
The implementation of IVMS has been transformative for our fleet management . Detailed location reporting aids in asset security , theft response , and enhances fleet utilisation and operational efficiency . Integrated with PowerBI , this data provides comprehensive insights into overall fleet usage and branch-specific details . It also promotes sustainable fleet management by monitoring idling times and harsh driving behaviours such as braking , cornering , and acceleration . We receive accurate odometer reports for FBT reporting and fleet replacement tracking , along with EV state of charge and transition suitability data . Interestingly , IVMS data has revealed that staff often overestimate daily kilometres travelled in council vehicles . This data confirms that transitioning to EVs would rarely exhaust the battery range if fully charged each morning , alleviating range anxiety during vehicle selection . Additionally , IVMS supports staff code of conduct by tracking speeding , incident investigation , and infringement verification , and provides location tracking for breakdown response .
The integration of IVMS with dashcams on heavy fleet assets and specialist operational vehicles has further enhanced our capabilities . These dashcams , linked to the IVMS portal , meet COR requirements for investigating vehicle incidents , responding to public complaints about driver or employee conduct , and gathering data for operations such as park / site patrols , inspections , and disaster response .
Ensuring Safety with Load Management Systems for SES Vehicles
Load Management Systems have been essential in maintaining safety and compliance for SES vehicles . The onboard scales offer real-time payload monitoring , ensuring crews do not exceed the vehicles ’ certified GVM and relevant axle loads . This system is particularly beneficial for SES vehicles , which require constant monitoring due to their 4x4 utility nature and suspension upgrades . Additionally , PFS is exploring IVMS-linked Load Management Systems to remotely track and record crew compliance with the asset ’ s GVM , further enhancing safety and operational efficiency .
