Chiyoda Corporation and Toyota Motor Corporation are teaming up to develop a large-scale electrolysis system , signing a cooperation agreement to contribute to the government ’ s hydrogen targets .
The collaboration aims to create a competitive electrolysis system by combining Toyota ’ s fuel cell technology with Chiyoda ’ s plant design and construction expertise . The goal is to produce a highly efficient , compact electrolysis system , initially using 5 MWclass equipment as the basic unit .
This modular approach allows the construction of larger systems with benefits such as reduced floor space , simplified maintenance , quicker on-site assembly , and lower construction costs . The collaboration plans to introduce the electrolysis system at the Toyota Honsha Plant ’ s Hydrogen Park in fiscal year 2025 , with future expansion to the 10 MW class for verification and development .
Tata Motors , India ’ s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer , has introduced its advanced engine , Turbotronn 2.0 , setting a new benchmark for trucking excellence .
This versatile engine powers Tata trucks in the 19-42 tonne range , catering to various applications , including the booming e-commerce , logistics , and courier segments . The indigenouslydeveloped Turbotronn 2.0 is highly fuel-efficient , reliable , and compliant with BS6 Phase 2 emission norms . Offering enhanced driving experience and lower Total Cost of Ownership ( TCO ), the engine has undergone rigorous testing , covering over 3,000,000 km and 70,000 cumulative hours across diverse terrains .
With a 6-year / 600,000 km warranty , the Turbotronn 2.0 promises increased vehicle uptime , better revenues , and cost savings for fleet owners . The engine has already achieved remarkable records during a 30-day endurance run , showcasing its efficiency and reliability .
Automotive innovator Antolin has introduced the NightSight Assist project , focusing on creating a safer and more comfortable vehicle interior . The groundbreaking development utilises a lighting system to optimise the driver ’ s pupil diameter , reducing adverse effects caused by low-light conditions and enhancing vision .
This intelligent system , developed in collaboration with the Institute of Applied Ophthalmology ( IOBA ) and the University of Valladolid ( UVa ), helps users reduce glare from headlights , identify shapes in low visibility , interpret road signals , and decrease distorted vision .
Tests conducted using a state-of-theart simulator demonstrated positive results , exponentially improving visual acuity and comfort in night driving situations . The solution can be seamlessly integrated into the sunvisor , providing additional functionality without compromising adaptability .
