Volkswagen AG , through its charging and energy brand Elli , is now operating the greatest charging network in Europe . The charging network spans 400,000 charging points across 27 countries and over 800 providers .
“ The key to everyday electric mobility is easy charging without any range anxiety ,” said Elke Temme , the CEO of Elli and Senior Vice President of Charging & Energy at Volkswagen AG .
“ We have taken a huge step closer to our vision by offering 400,000 charging points in Europe . In line with our NEW AUTO strategy , we now offer the largest ecosystem for drivers of electric vehicles in Europe and are continuing to press full speed ahead in our work to expand the charging network .”
Volvo has opened a new tech hub in Stockholm as part of their efforts to build new tech-focused facilities for their customers .
“ Our new Stockholm hub is designed to spark creativity and collaboration ,” said Hanna Fager , our chief people officer .
“ It will be a modern and inclusive workplace that allows current and future talent with a broad variety of expertise to work and cooperate . A hallmark of Scandinavian modern design , it reflects all the strengths of the Volvo brand .”
According to Volvo , each location has their own areas of expertise . The team in Stockholm is focused on direct consumer relationships and the customer journey .
To underline its connection with their heritage , the tech hub will feature specially designed furniture created from recycled car materials . Lamps made from used airbags and chairs 3D-printed from repurposed car bumpers ?
BASF ’ s biomass balance automotive OEM coatings have come to the Asian market through its launch in China .
According to BASF , their ColorBrite ® Airspace Blue ReSource basecoat “ enables around 20 % reduction in product carbon footprint ” as reviewed by a third-party external sustainability consultant .
“ Replacing fossil-based feedstock with renewable raw materials through BASF ’ s biomass balance approach symbolizes our pledge to helping our customers achieve their carbon emission targets while retaining the same high quality and performance of the product ,” said said Jack Zou , Vice President , Automotive OEM Coatings Solutions Asia Pacific , BASF .
