This month Pedders also released its eXtreme Big Brake Kit to suit LandCruiser 70 Series models . Pedders recommends this brake upgrade to customers who have a GVM + Upgrade on their vehicle and need a boost in braking performance . Carrying additional weight increases stopping distances and puts extra load on the factory braking system , which ultimately increases stopping distances .
The eXtreme Big Brake Kit includes larger front 6-pot brake calipers with enlarged slotted rotors , while the rear features larger 4-pot calipers with larger slotted rotors . When combined with the Pedders Dual Diaphragm Brake Booster , this upgrade reduced the LandCruiser 79 Series 100km / h to zero stopping distance by 24.8m and cut stopping time by 2-seconds ! This upgrade could very easily be the difference between avoiding and being involved in a road accident , simply by being able to stop the vehicle in a shorter distance .
