Extended Range Electric Vehicles ( EREV )
An EV fitted with a range extender which can increase its driving range . Typically , these range extenders are small internal combustion engines ( ICE ) that drive an electric generator to provide electricity to the battery and motor .

Level 2 Charging
A method of charging EVs using 220 to 240 volts AC outlet charging up to 80 amps .
Level 3 Charging
Also called DC Fast Charging , this method of charging uses 350 kW of power to rapidly charge EVs .
Lithium-Ion Battery
A family of rechargeable battery types in which lithium ions move from the negative electrode to the positive electrode during discharge and back when charging .

Also known as a Type 2 charging plug , it replaced the Type 1 plug as the standard used in Australia on vehicles from 2018 onwards .
Mild Hybrid
A type of hybrid vehicle that has a small electric motor used to assist the petrol engine . It cannot run on battery power alone .
