A plug that is used to charge an EV . It can come in a wide variety of formats including Type 1 ( 5-pin plug with a clip common in the US ), Type 2 ( 7-pin plug with one flat edge ), CHadeMO ( 4-pin plug used for rapid charging points and can offer vehicle to grid charging ), and Combined Charging System ( a connector that combines 2 DC pins arranged below the Type 2 AC connector and uses 3 of the Type 2s pins ). Electric Vehicle
The catch-all term for vehicles running on electric power rather than petrol or diesel .
