Dear Jane,
“Holiday” edition, really??? Are we avoiding the word Christmas to be politically correct? I saw a comic the other day where the Grinch has decided that he going to dress up like a lawyer (instead of Santa) and sue anyone who mentions Christmas. Is the Flaherty Fanzine pandering to this nonsense?

Dear Disgruntled Reader,
I appreciate your deep concern about maintaining the true meaning behind the season, even your it's-worth-3-question-marks concern. Let me put your troubled soul at ease with this quote from a distant relative's random facebook post entitled
10 Things You Can't Do AT CHRISTMAS While Following Jesus:
"3) Get Mad About “Happy Holidays.”
On a related note, you know what “holiday” is short for, right? Holy day. Do you really have a problem with people calling Christmas a holy day?"
While this post's author said it a little more harshly than I would have put it, I appreciate that I can now say it just as harshly but put the blame on someone else. Case closed.
If you have further issues with the Fanzine's choice of terminology, by all means, write again. Critique is welcome (but I do plan to critique you in return--fair's fair).
