the human body, fitness, techniques,
nutritional requirements and physical
injuries and limitations. They are up on
the latest trends in fitness and can
decide which ones will work for you.
You should also expect some fitness
assessment testing. Assessments allow
your trainer to know with greater
accuracy exactly where are you with
respect to strength, flexibility, balance,
body weight, and body fat percentage –
critical information in determining the
best plan of attack. You also need to
know where you are starting from to
measure your progress. Based off your
assessments, your trainer plans a
workout that is efficient and allows you
to get the most out of it in the shortest
amount of time. You can expect to
maximize your workout and minimize
the time! Your plan constantly changes
and evolves as you achieve and your
fitness level improves.
I
In the age of the internet, there is a
tremendous amount of information out
there about health and fitness. For
example, each piece of equipment of
our Precor selectorized circuit has a QR
code. You can use your smartphone QR
Code Reader to view a “How To” video
that will demonstrate how to use each
machine properly. Useful as they may
be, these videos or the internet in
general provide little guidance about
key concepts such as how to put
together an efficient exercise
sequence, or how to vary your exercise
routine to avoid adaptation, or how to
select which machines to use to meet
your specific goal. No matter how many
videos you watch, or how many fitness
articles you read, there is no substitute
for having a trainer by your side, cueing
you on form and technique. And it's not
just your body; they also cue you
mentally and make sure you execute
each exercise correctly for maximum
effect. They also help you to make the
mind/body connection, which is critical
for recruiting the proper muscles for a
particular exercise. Every repetition
becomes more effective than ever
before.
Injuries
Over the years, we all experience
injuries and are afraid of hurting
ourselves further. We often use those
injuries as a reason to stop working
out. If you have an injury, trainers can
work with you to gain your strength
back and to increase mobility and
range of motion. They can coordinate
with your physical therapist or doctor
and pick up where your medical
treatment ends. Trainers will work
with you and teach you how to use
equipment properly so that you do not
injure yourself. They work on
prevention, training you for balance,
flexibility and core strength which will
help you prevent injuries in your daily
activities. If you are dealing with
medical issues such as heart disease,
diabetes, stroke, stroke, depression,
cancer, and arthritis, your trainer can
help you to achieve better health
through exercise and diet.

Motivation
Your trainer is a source of solid support
and will bring out the best in you.
Every session is an opportunity for you
to focus on you and only you! Your
hour with your trainer may be the only
time during your hectic schedule that
you devote strictly to yourself. The
trainer/client relationship is all at
once, serious, fun, educational, and
personal. You share successes and
failures, life's ups and downs, and
ultimately you become an unstoppable
team. And the bottom line is the
results!
