Using Zigs can be somewhat fiddly for some people especially if they don't have experience in making up their own zig rigs for fishing. As mentioned in our earlier feature in the magazine it isn't just the zigrig that catches the carp but it is actually finding the depth that they are feeding from. Avid Carp has come up with a great idea of making ready-to-go zig kits so all you need to do its set the length, tie a knot and you are ready for fishing, They come in a range of depths and colours and is designed so that everyone can enjoy the sport and try out zig fishing for themselves. Using these ready made rigs takes all the fiddly bits of zig fishing and allows the fisherman to get fishing as quickly as possible..

TFGear JUGGERNAUGHT BARROW

TFGear HARDCORE BARROW BAG

\With so many new products being released on the market and so many new pieces of luggage available to do a variety of jobs it is difficult to know what one would be perfect for you. At Fishing Adventures Wales we took a look at a lot of different tackle management systems and storage solutions and they all had their different advantages but none came close to the TFGear Barrow & Tackle Bag system. Made from strong rip proof material with lots of room to store all your gear you are sure that this will be the only bag you would ever need for your tackle storage. There are also 4 or 6 external pockets (depending on the model) on the outside to store extra items and also includes zipped up storage on the roof of the bag. With a hard bottom to protect it from the worst the weather can throw at it and also a stiff/hard top that can also be sued as a bivi table you can rest assured your tackle will be kept safe and secure at all times.

During my fishing career I have tried all types of different fishing barrows and trolleys and none seem to do what I want them to do. Either they are too small and you end up carrying half of your gear on your back or they are too bulky you just can't fit them in a car for easy transport. With myself also suffering from a bad back I found it quite difficult lifting a heavy barrow over the top of lumps and gravel tracks on the way to my lake. That was until I found the Juggernaut Barrow system from TFGear. This barrow has massive field tyres with lots of grip making it easy to travel across rough ground and is completely adjustable so you can change the size of it if you need to carry more equipment than usual. It also has a 3 wheel system so that you can virtually turn the borrow on the spot and easy lift handles built in so no more bending down and hurting your back trying to lift it over rocks or rubbish left on the paths or tracks. This barrow also has the added option of fitting an under-barrow bag for extra storage to carry heavy things such as water bottles and bait plus you can also purchase a fully waterproof barrow cover for the worst of the weather. This is a barrow I recommend that any fisherman have especially if like me they suffer when carrying loads of heavy equipment.
