Ridley Scott, who made many films like ‘Alien’, ‘Gladiator’, ‘Robin Hood’, ‘Prometheus’ etc. claims that he tried to maintain utmost justice to reality in the case of ‘The Martian’. He claims to be very careful in detailing about the scientific ideas, equipment, knowledge about the land plains of mars, the structure of space station and life, in his movie. He entered into an agreement with NASA for this purpose. James L Green, the head of planetary science, worked for this film as technical consultant. The technical excellence and IMAX 3D image beauty gives an added supremacy for the film. Coming back to earth or home is the biggest wish for any lonely life. The movie is surely about man, who in spite there is not much reason to wish, still without losing hope, the ever striving wonderful creature. The endless eagerness in conquering new worlds, to grasp new knowledge makes us what we are. When the first potato sprout in Mars, Watney was telling that “I started farming here”. It means that I conquered this place. Conquering new worlds the journey of mankind will keep on continuing. India has contributed many great astronomers to the global science arena.
