That confidence is reassuring to Jackson Hicks, who expects much more action out of the backfield.
The biggest question mark for the offense is the quarterback position, which has three viable options to start in week one.
Preston Ramirez was the backup to Gadd last season, but made his contributions on the defensive side at linebacker. Ramirez admitted that he hasn’ t played quarterback since his three key starters up front with Javawn McKinney, Josiah
Zapata and Evan Myrick.“ This has been the best offseason,” said Myrick. Along with creating a new foundation for the Rams, Myrick said the offensive line is bringing an angry mentality this year after feeling like they were“ a bunch of teddy bears” previously.
The expectation for Myrick is that the running game will be dominant for Mineral Wells, with multiple 200 + yard rushing games.
“ We’ re gonna rock’ n’ roll with whatever best fits our team and what our team needs are.”
