“ If we can be successful today and stack good days on top of good days , then all of the good things that you are looking for and all of the things that can sometimes get in the way and cloud what you are doing , those are going to happen as long as you are doing what you are supposed to be doing .”

Every athletic program has its share of different athletes , from those that lead loudly to those that lead quietly , and the Rams are no different , with what Hobbs calls a pretty good mix of all of those .

Some of those include players to watch in Facteau at quarterback , Blake Blue at linebacker , Hunter Menchaca on the offensive line , Jonathan Hammer at wide receiver and Preztynn Harrison at wide receiver .

“ Everyone has to have a role on the team and we are going to have 11 starters on offense , and 11 starters on defense and 11 guys that play on each special team ,” Hobbs said . “ If those can all be different guys then that would be awesome . Some may be the same guys . In the end we are going to put the best 11 players on the field , with everybody knowing that their role is not only defined by who starts a game or plays the most , but that they are a member of the team .”

As for the leadership part , athletes knowing and understanding their roles will help take care of that .

“ It is all about knowing your role . We have some really good leaders and a really good senior class that does a lot of that outward leading and there are a few of them that lead by example because they are here a lot and that is a big deal ,” he said . ★

In the end we are going to put the best 11 players on the field , with everybody knowing that their role is not only defined by who starts a game or plays the most , but that they are a member of the team .
